Members of the gun community have been a welcome source of manuals to translate.
If you have anything you'd be willing to share, please email me.  I've had original manuals loaned to me, but they
can also be scanned and the scans sent by email or on a CD.

New manuals are always wanted.  Specifically I'm hunting the HDv 181 series.  I have HDv181/5 (Luger),
181/6 (MG 34), and 181/7 (MG 42), but HDv 181/1 to 4 are still wanted.  I have the HDv 142/a, b, and c,
booklets already in print, but there may be a "142/d" volume out there that I haven't found it yet.  Also looking
for the MG34 manuals HDv 131 a, b, d, and e for the Glass Slide series (131c is already in print).
All other manuals will be considered.  Let me know what you have.  I don't need to buy it, or even borrow it.
It can be scanned and emailed to me.  Seven of the manuals I've translated so far have been scanned by
collectors and emailed to me.  Other collectors have sent their original manuals for me to scan in.  It's a great
bunch of guys in the collecting community.  Your help is appreciated by other collectors around the globe.
So far, I've sent manuals to Russia, England, Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Australia, Denmark, Belgium, New
Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Argentina,
Belarus, Latvia, Canada, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Switzerland, and of course, the U.S.A.
Instruction in close combat
with cutting weapons.
A police manual (PDV. 42) about close combat fighting with the bayonet mounted on the rifle, and the
short and long shovels.  96 original pages with lots of pictures and footwork illustrations.
MG08 Armorer (1914)
AK47 Operator
MG13 Operator
Makarov Operator
These manuals are all in my hands, and will be completed as my time allows.
The MG08 Armorer's book from 1914 won't be done for a while - 346 pages.
The MG13 manual is 75 pages with 4 tables in the back, from 1942.
The AK and Makarov manuals are East German.
Drilling M 30
3 Barreled Shotgun/Rifle
The original manual is just 31 pages, but it's surprisingly thorough in describing how to care for the Drilling
M 30 Luftwaffe shotgun.  This is the operator's manual for the side by side shotgun with the rifle barrel
underneath in the middle.  Drilling is German for triplet.  3 barrels and outstanding craftsmanship made
these "survival guns" true collector's items.  The rough translation is done, but I need to see a Drilling
shotgun to verify a few things before this goes to print.  If you live in N.E. Ohio or western Pennsylvania,
and have a Drilling I can examine, let me know.
Coming - maybe by the
middle of March
The English translation of the 1943 (13th edition) Reibert manual should be done in a few more months.
I'm guessing the rough translation will be done around the end of January, and ready to get printed about at
least a month after that.
This will be about 445 pages when finished, so I'm looking at around 1 more month of work.  I already
have a few months of work in it.  The original book is 343 pages, with a lot of really small type, so by the
time I make it readable without a magnifying glass, it is about 1.3 times the number of original pages.  Once
the rough translation is done, the rewording can start, which will take several weeks.  Then the proof
reading begins.  If it was easy, someone else would have already done it. :)
Did you know there was a grievance procedure for the soldiers if they thought they had been treated
unfairly?  And that you were supposed to be able to wear two pairs of socks inside your riding boots?
This book is the ultimate guide to how it really was, with details that aren't in any other book.
For those of you who know what the 1935 Soldatenfibel manual is, the Reibert is like that, only with even
more detail, and is a greatly updated wartime manual.  The Soldatenfibel is great if you want to know how
the 1935 army did it.  The Reibert is how it was done in 1943.  To say things changed a bit is an
understatement.
This will be in 6" x 9" format, and I'm going to have the first batch of copies in hardback, then after that
they'll be paperback at about $10 cheaper.  When the hardback books are gone, they're gone, so if you'd
like one, don't hesitate.  I just thought the people who are serious about these things would appreciate a
serious, hardback book, and with 445 pages, this will make a fine addition to a serious historian or
reenactor permanent library.
All
I've been trying to get together the full series of Waffentafeln, the little fold-up cardboard type
instruction booklets.  I've done well, but some are far less common than the others.
I think they'd make a great "pick what you like" manual, maybe in a binder with clear plastic
sleeves.

I'm still looking for the following Waffentafeln:

45   -    Small Caliber Rifles

I have the others in the Waffentafeln series.

If you have any of the below listed Ausbildungstafeln fur die Infanterie, please let me know.
I'm still looking for Ausbildungtafeln:

    17/17a -    Gelandeverstärkung  A
    19/19a -    Sprengen

Also I need the vehicle series (ATKfk) and the communication set (ATN).
A good scan will provide what I need to produce the finished booklets in English.
